Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Mgahinga National Park is the smallest National Park in Uganda bordering Rwanda and the Democratic republic of Congo.

The Park inhabits the unique golden monkeys, mountain gorillas, bushbucks, buffaloes, giraffes. The Park also hosts three dormant mountain, Mt Sabinyo and Mt muhavura and Mt Gahinga, situated in the Virunga ranges where visitors can go for hiking. Gorilla trekking is the major activity carried out in this park. Mgahinga national park was home to the Batwa tribe also known as the pygmies. Tourists to Mgahinga Park get the chance to have first-hand experience of Batwa culture.
