Kidepo Valley National Park

Kidepo Valley Park is a semi-arid national park and is apparently the most isolated.

The Park contains two rivers, Kidepo and Narus which dry up during the dry season. Game viewing is most common and visitors get to view large herds of wildlife such as buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, oribis and reedbucks can be spotted in the park. Visitors also enjoy nature walks, hiking and birding. Over 476 bird species inhabit the park including the common ostrich. The local communities surrounding the park are the Karamojong people who are similar to the Maasai of Kenya and the IK, a hunting and gathering tribe.
