Mikumi National Reserve

Mikumi National reserve, nicknamed little Serengeti, is Tanzania’s fourth biggest national reserve situated between the Uluguru mountains and the Lumango.

It is a couple of hours away from Tanzanias biggest city, Dar es Salaam. Mikumi National reserve hosts large number of animals such as Elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, leopards, lion, antelopes and kudus. Visitors may also witness the tree climbing Lions during their safari. Aside from wild animals, Mikumi National reserve has over 400 species of birds making the park a bird watching destination.
