Nyungwe National Park

Nyungwe is located on the southwestern Rwanda bordering Burundi.

It is one of the known three national parks in Rwanda and has the largest rainforest in East Africa. It is well known for inhabiting chimpanzees. Nyungwe forest is dominated by bamboo, grasslands, bogs, swamps and rainforest with a wide diversity of wild animals including elephants, golden monkeys, mongoose, bush pigs, impalas, golden cats, duikers and bushbucks. Visitors get to enjoy canopy walks, chimpanzee trekking, colobus monkey tracking and hiking in Nyungwe forest.
