Gishwati Mukura National Park

Gishwati national park was created in 2015 as Rwanda’s fourth national park.

Chimpanzees are the major attractions in the park as it homes a group of 20 of chimpanzees. The chimpanzees live alongside golden monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, L’Hoest’s and blue monkeys as well as buffaloes. The Park is having over 235 species of birds making it great for birdwatching for birders. Visitors also enjoy chimpanzee trekking, colobus monkey tracking and hiking.
