Taita Hills

Taita hills are part of the eastern mountain ranges consisting of three massifs: Dawida sagalla and Kasigau.

The Dawida massif is the tallest of the three. It is known for its rich biodiversity and unique ecosystems and is a hoe to endemic plants and animal species such as elephants. Taita hills is also home to the Taita Hills wildlife sanctuary. The sanctuary straddles the Southern Tsavo West National Park and is an important migrating corridor for wildlife between Tsavo East and Tsavo West National Park. The topography is generally mountainous that offers breath taking landscape views of the Kilimanjaro, Pare, Uluguru mountains.
