Mara Triangle lies between Mara River and western oloololo escarpment.
The landscapes of the Mara Triangle include riverine forest, grasslands and volcanic hills. Mara triangle has a fairly good concentration of wildlife all year-round including the big five, hyena cheetah, jackal wildebeest, zebras and more. It is also one of the areas where the great migration enter and exit the Maasai mara national reserve from the Serengeti park making it one of the best locations for viewing the great migration
