Lake Naivasha

Lake Naivasha is a fresh water lake located in the eastern arm of the great rift valley of Kenya.

It is one of the few non-alkaline lakes in the rift valley thus playing a vital role in water supply to the wildlife as well as the local communities. Lake Naivasha is a haven for diverse bird species, over 400, including the flamingo’s, pelican and kingfishers. It also has a strong population of hippos as there are over 1000 hippos present in the area. Boat riding, bird watching and nature walks are popular activities around the lake.
