Aberdares National Park

Aberdare National Park is dominated by steep forest and open moorland. It provides home to various animals such as elephants, Black rhinos, leopards, hyenas Olive baboons black and white colobus monkeys, buffalos, warthogs and bushbucks among others.

Rare sightings include those of the Giant Forest hog, bongo, golden cat, serval cat, African wild cat, African civet cat and the blue duiker. Visitors get a chance to enjoy picnics, fishing and camping. There are over 250 species of birds making bird watching rewarding from seeing birds like sunbirds, plovers, sparrow hawks, Francolin and eagles among others.
