Finch Hattons is a luxury tented safari camp that combines its love for Tsavo with world-class facilities.
The camp is completely isolated, it’s just you, the vast and varied terrain that stretches in every direction, and the many beasts and birds that call it home. Located in Tsavo West National Park, Finch Hattons Eco Tented Camp is set around natural freshwater springs within 34 acres of pure untouched wilderness and surrounded by views of Mt Kilimanjaro and the magnificent Chyulu Hills.
Originally opened in 1993, Finch Hattons re-opened in 2015 after a complete rebuild of the camp and were named best new safari camp by Architectural Digest in 2015. Finch Hattons rebuild was carefully designed to maximise the opportunities to view our resident animals and birdlife. Sightings of hippo, crocodiles, elephants and various antelope around the camp are common, to say nothing of the 500 bird species that call Tsavo home. From the many viewing decks and dining areas, you can also enjoy the vast vistas that stretch in every direction. To the west, Mount Kilimanjaro is impossible to miss, and to the northeast, the Chyulu Hills undulate for miles.
