Maiyan Villas is set on 146 acres of lush natural landscape with a backdrop of Lolldaiga Hills and Mt Kenya.
The Maiyan Villas are located 20 kilometers north of Nanyuki town. More than three-quarters of the journey is made on a tarmac road, and the remaining part is made on a marram road. However, the state of the tarmac road as the end of 2020 was very poor with many potholes. Due to the state of the road, the journey from Nanyuki town to Maiyan Villas will take you about an hour. You don’t need an SUV to visit the resort, but a car with low ground clearance will make your journey slightly slower.
While staying at the Maiyan Villas, there are a lot of activities available for both adults and children. There is a well-designed tennis court which also doubles up as a basketball court. There is also a 100 by 100m football pitch which can also be used for rugby and hockey. Sports lovers will definitely have a lot to choose from and will have a lot of fun, especially if traveling as a group. Next to the sports field is an outdoor gym with modern equipment that gives gym enthusiasts a chance to work out in nature’s tranquility. All these sporting activities are free of charge.
